Usage is metered and the console shows what it would cost at the published rate, but nothing is being charged and no balance is being drawn down. When settlement goes live, you top up a USDC balance against your group’s billing contract — there is no invoice cycle to negotiate and no card to churn.

What an active wallet means

A unique authenticated identity that performs at least one key generation or signing operation in the billing period. The nodes meter identity hashes, not identities — the platform can count your active wallets without ever learning who your users are.

Where the money goes

Revenue is split between the operators who actually served your group and the protocol treasury. Operators are compensated as service providers with modelable unit economics, which is what makes recruiting a credible operator set a business decision rather than a speculative one. The split is a governance parameter, published rather than negotiated per customer.
